There's four different areas here that I can see addressing would likely help me personally making a more accurate impression.
Oversensitive, overly opinionated, ridged and passive, indecisive.
I think it's relevant noting too to seek in others what they're really about. That we can work on as well.
One example comes to mind with someone I sometimes engage with. I can see where people might see him as an argumentative, disagreeable person who likes to grumble....
Ridged, rude, closed-minded and abrupt.
But once you stick with him long enough and get to know him getting past that, underneath the surface you'll discover he's quite knowledgeable and it's much easier to see why he's an asset where he works.
I think that his experiences may have taught him that what he has to say isn't relevant and what he knows isn't valuable. Listening to him and making him valuable ends up being a good thing for both of us.
Two sides of same coin worthy being addressed in relation to being clueless.
